Infirm diary n° 39
Back from of the Regional Natural Park of Haut Languedoc in France…
Each time, I feel the same thing, when I walk in the mountains, my spirit is released, the doors open. These hikes bring me strength, inspires me for my artistic work, give me answers. A connection to the sacred.
I just came across this quote from David Lebreton:
“To take one’s time is a subversion of everyday life. Anachronistic in a world that favors speed, walking is an act of resistance celebrating slowness, availability, silence, curiosity, the useless. So many values opposed to the neoliberal sensibilities that condition our lives. The walker is the one who takes his time and does not let time take it. “
